Default Question about purchasing 04 gto m6...

I found one on Craigslist, it's an all red gto with black interior and m6. It's really clean in and out, bone stock. My only issue with the car is the fact of its miles...almost 140k. It has had 2 owners. Should I be worried about the miles and walk away or is it worth to build on this? Thanks any advice would help.

I wouldn't worry about the mileage too much as long as there is no major issues with the car. I know there is at least 1 GTO that has over 200k and still running strong...

Miles on the motor wouldn't bother me, its the car around it that will need some wear items replaced. driveshaft, rear spring sag, rr bushings, top strut bushings, probably a clutch if hasn't been done.

Almost all of these other than the clutch are due at 40K miles it seems on our cars….

Like the others said….if it looks good and you get a good price go for it. A ls1/m6 combo goes for 4-5k all day. If you can get a whole running car for under 10 then your doing great. As it works out most of the replaceable parts are easily replaced with upgrades that you will inherently do regardless of mileage.
