I know absolutely nothing about GTOs, But I might be taking one in on trade for my SS. Its an 04 6spd, with right at about 100k on it. What should I look for when inspecting the car? the owner said it has a vibration when hes coming to a stop. What would be the value for this car? Ive done a little bit of searching but couldnt find too much local that was similar.

Depends where the vibe comes from. Could be radius rod bushes that are shot.. 100k plus cars aren't worth much and are usually a whosale item. Depending on condition and equipment, I'd say between 4-10k.

Well im done with racing and this car would be a cheap hot rod...slow but still something that is kinda fun. I wouldnt be looking to mod it if I kept it, just update the suspension. Id use the car as a weekend cruiser if anything. Ive talked to a few friends that run dealerships and theyd value the car where you guys were at and thats around 4-6k on trade in.

if they are only 4-8k now i'm buying one...they drive awesome for a daily..lil heavy but if you arent racing, then go for it...just be prepared to pay out the nose for body panels should anything happen...but if it does..the UK Vauxhall GXR stuff looks awesome!

Unless you're buying a high mile car to swap out the motor and build, I would get a ls2. I originally had a 04 and I did love it, but ....I like my ls2 a lot better. More room for mods. You can do a ls3 top end too. And you have the better hood and rear bumper.
