Default Srs airbag code.

Tech2 device says

0053
Left front pretensioner deployment loop resistance high.

Had my pretensioner rebuilt AFTER by my airbags in Georgia. I disconnected the battery, installed the rebuilt pretensioner and to my dismay the airbag light still came on. I am going back to the dealer monday to scan and try to clear the code. Shouldnt have disconnecting the battery reset the airbag system?

The airbag won't reset with a power cut. It has to be done by a Tech II, Snap-on, etc or with software through a cable that can program the cluster.

Already tried the snap on it wont clear it. According to the snapon I am not getting enough voltage and my resistance is out of spec. But my multimeter shows both ohms on both my good pretensioner and my bad the same.

Should be able to clear it with the software floating around ls1gto and a $23 OBD2 cable with OBd1 pin outs to reprogram it. Worked great for mine and does more than a tech II can. Check it out and you should be able to fix your issues.
