I installed a new clutch master yesterday. Prior to the install, i had disconnected the clutch master to clutch pedal lever, loosen up the 4 13mm bolts that bolts the brake booster to the firewall and preceded to undo the brake booster lever to the brake pedal to gain more access to the bolts that hold the clutch master. I was able to install the new clutch master in about an hour but i have spent over 2 hour in trying to reconnect the brake booster lever to the brake pedal pin. The lever does not have a problem hooking on to the pedal pin. It just will not slide in all the way after that. I left the 4 firewall bolts loose so i can kind of move the booster back and forth but after 2 hours, It was time to give it a break and gather some more info. In hindsight, i most likely could have just left the brake pedal attached to the lever. But too late.

Has anyone encountered this problem before? Is there any special trick short of completely dropping the pedal assembly?
