Maverickman Boost/Vac gauge install help
Hey all,
I've been trying to get these gauges into my car with my dad's help over the course of today, but we can't quite find where to tee into the LS2's lines to get a boost/vacuum reading. The gauges I bought are from Maverickman carbon (Oil PSI, Boost/Vac). We already know where we're going to get the power from and where we'll ground the power source, but this freaking vacuum line is baffling us
Anyone got pictures or help?
Thanks!

On the drivers side, left of the pedals, on the firewall there is a rubber plug that you can pop out and use a screwdriver to punch another hole for the vac line. pull the vac line thru while you have it loose, makes it easier, them pop it back in.

Got it! All the lines for the boost/vac gauge are run, but I can't figure out what wires to use for power where the smokers package should be, along with where the Oil PSI gauge gets a signal?

For the Oil pressure gauge, it's got a three pin, two pin, and a 3.5mm jack with a bare end which I think needs to be spliced into another wire...
The boost/vac gauge has a big white three pin (the wire I was running earlier), and the same two and three pins present on the Oil gauge. I'm not sure exactly where either the two or three pins which both gauges have go

You can pick out an empty switched 12 volt slot on the fuse panel under the steering wheel. Use a spade connector and plug it into the slot. I don't know anything about a smokers package.
You have to have an oil pressure sender spliced into the stock oil pressure sender at the back of the block or at the drivers side of the oilpan at the front. There is a removable cover by the oil filter with two bolts that can be removed, drilled and tapped for the sender---did you get a sender? Be prepared for some oil loss.

I agree that he should have instructions... I kinda figured they should have come with the kit, but I guess it'll be a learning experience for me.

If you have an 05-06, there is a plug under the center cover on top of the dash for oil pressure. Another one for voltage. I don't know if it is intended for his setup. Normally used for JHP gauges. Pop the cover off and look.

reviving a old thread....does anyone know if the oil pressure guage can accept a mechanical input? I have a interceptor as well as a trans temp, yes I knoww the interceptor is better but I like the look of the mavman ones. Well the interceptor is using the can bus to read and making the oil pressure guage not work and sending my dash into a frenzy.
