Please, contact the vendors who are in the business of selling cams, like those to the right>>>. Do not pick a cam by internet vote, that is crazy. If you get your choices down between 2 or 3, then look for some input. But asking a bunch of strangers to pick a cam for you is not going to be to your benefit.

I really love my torquer v2. It made some awesome power with supporting mods. Car put down 415whp on a 99 degree day. I am assuming it would have been a little better had it been 75 degrees. Anyway, this thing drives awesome on the street. I DD the car except in the winter or bad weather. Now I have a truck, the car doesn't really get driven until weekends. No bucking, or idle surge problems. Car idles around 880-900rpms depending on how hot it is. But other than that it is sweet. This cam makes power quite a ways up! Pulls strong. Pretty good for a 5.7 I would say.

See, this is my point. When you select a cam by internet vote you get all kinds of cams and specs thrown at you, but none of us know what you are looking for or how much you understand about how a cam works. If there was a perfect cam we'd all be using it. Ask the people who sell cams for a living, they will ask you all the necessary questions to help you determine which is the best cam for you. The right cam is a blast, the wrong one is an expensive pain in the ***.

Flowtech Induction did a great job on my cam, too. I have no problems recommending Ed Curtis: he takes your mods, goals, and budget into consideration. You can't call him, but he does respond timely to emails. As others have said, though, take the time to talk to a few vendors and get it right.

IMHO don't pick a cam by idle sound or internet vote as sound is usually the inverse of drive-ability and most only have experience with one or two cams. Ed at Flowtech Induction designs cams, has kick-*** ones and has been a great help to me over the years. You fill out his form what you can as to goals, use and mods and he'll get back to you with recommendations.

I've run two Flowtech cams...very satisfied with both.
I suspect you need a custom-ground Street-Sweeper-HT. Torque everywhere. Easy to tune and drive.
