Front Tire Max Size (Can I run a square set up @ 275)
Most threads I've searched focus on the rear tire width, but I need to know what is possible up front. The only thread I found was this 8 year old one: http://www.ls1gto.com/forums/showthread.php?t=169549
With new wheels available I was hoping for an update on what's possible.
In particular I was considering the VMR 810's (http://www.pyspeed.com/VMR-BMW-V810-...mw-v810-18.htm)
They offer a very useful range of offsets for us including 35, 45, 50, and 58! So if I was targeting a 275/35R18 tire size which would almost match the 245/45R17 stock in total diameter would I be able to do a square setup?
Particularly this setup:
Front: 18x9.5 offset:35
Rear: 18x9.5 offset:50
I've tried a few calculators:
http://www.wheel-size.com/calc/?whee...l=10mm&scl=1mm
http://www.willtheyfit.com/index.php...et2=45#content
It seems like 35 offset would have the wheel/tire stick out. But I'm not sure if there's enough clearance on the inside to go 45.
I do have BC Racing Coilovers, if that helps.
Thanks for the input!
