Default Red seat gto

Just got a whole set of red seats front and back mint from a 20k Mile goat got em for 500 not sure if I over payed?!?? Also would switching out the seats affect the value of my car as far as factory originality? Not sure if I should sell my black set or store in case I sell the car years later

I've contacted several places who want upwards of $700 for just a set of front seats, I think you made out like a bandit.

Sweet I thought for sure it was a good deal any idea if replacing original black with red will affect value in a negative way?

It depends on what type of Goat you have. For me, when I was looking for a BOM M6 car, I was looking for a pure unmolested car. All original interior, stock motor, decently clean body. I ended up paying more for what I wanted, it's more about finding the right buyer.

Factory tire size plays a difference in the number of them built the same as yours. So yes it can make a difference in resale value. It really depends on what someone is looking for.

I would keep your original black ones in storage, but it's totally up to you. I've seen people turn the front seats into chairs???

It's a 10 year old gm mass produced car swap them out no one will care unless they don't like the red seats no effect on value just a old car at this point. You found a pretty good deal on the seats put them in and enjoy the car dont worry about resale value and the cars value 20 years from now none of us will ever own our toys that long. That's barret jackson and meccum crap that us normal car guys can never compete with. I despise them for ruining our whole hobby and making everybody driving a hotrod even think questions like yours.

Yeah mine was 17k miles 2006 torrid with black seats and 18 inch wheels...but I've been looking in the engine bay and it's not even close to stock. kooks long tubes, cai, msd wires, gauges on top of center console(knew those weren't stock), think I'll keep my black seats stored just because they're in really good condition so just keep them as spares..those mods devalue car? It's my first gto so I'm a bit of a newbie

Yeah well a vehicle is a terrible investment where you more than likely won't profit..just would like it to hold some value in case I ever want to trade it in for something newer, doubt I will I love being the only gto in a mall parking lot instead of being 1 of like 40 new camaros or mustangs...update on car just got some sap grilles lol

I wish I could find a under 50K mile 05-06 stick car that the owner didn't think was worth more than a 2 year old camaro. Looked at so much "mint" "great condition" pure crap in last 4 years when I start looking off and on.
