LS2 (2005 GTO) Gasket Kit - Is this any good?
I just purchased a Ls2 long block engine from a 2005 GTO. I'd like to freshen it up a bit with new gaskets and o-rings..etc.
I found this ebay ad for a SpeedMasters branded Gasket kit.
Would this kit work? I'd like if possible get the MLS headgaskets that OEM GM offered or maybe the Cometic ones. Not sure if this branded kit offers that.
Also I believe the bore on the LS2 but the bore says 3.945
Would this kit be the answer?
Thanks

Go to the GM dealer and get the gaskets there, or order them from RockAuto. Don't get some sketchy aftermarket china crap. I believe the ls2 bore is 4.00". If you pull the heads, you need to replace the head bolts also. A lot of the gaskets are reusable--except the head gaskets.

You're crazy to use Chinese gaskets or anything from eBay. Most people get their gaskets from Texas Speed because they offer many, many options... GM, Cometic, etc but nothing from China.

I got my full heads and cam gasket kit from Texas speed. Head bolts too.
Great to work with and great communication too.
Don't go cheap when it comes to such important things.
