The GTO fitment for RTS wheels is:

15x9 6.5 BS - http://hinsonsupercars.com/p-1412-we...04-06-gto.aspx

15x10 7.5 BS - http://hinsonsupercars.com/p-1363-we...04-06-gto.aspx

Either will be fine with a 275

The 9" is plenty big enough, lighter and probably cheaper.

I'm using a 15x 9" Weld cheapo with 6.5" backspacing. The tire is a Hoosier 27x11.5x15. The inside tire wall clears the "frame" about 3/8". The outside clears the fender about the same (not lowered). I trimmed the lip on the fenders years ago, so I don't know if it would rub or not.

Those are not 6.5" backspace on a 8" wheel. That equals to about a neg 51 mm and the stock 8" wheel is neg 48 mm so it would be so close you couldn't even see it.

With a 9" I'd like to see about 7.5" backspace. To get you in the sweet spot you'd like to be around 7.25" with a 9" wheel and you could bring it to point with a 5mm wheel spacer.

Well there ya go. That's too small of a back space for 9". The Hinson site is wrong.

It's such a shame that it's so difficult to find a 15x9 for the back of these cars with the right backspacing without having to go to CCW etc.

I used an 8" holeshot wheel with 6 7/8 bs, no issues, tuck right up in the wheel wells.
