Default Do headers make a big difference on a 04 GTO

I was quoted 1800 for headers install and tune, I'm asking the community if headers make a big difference on these cars? I have a OBX catback and K&N system, cars not to loud and want to wake it up a little

What brand headers?

Headers and a tune will bring ya 35-45 rwhp.
It will also sound a lot better.

A4 or M6 ?

A4 - automatic 4 speed
M6 - Manuel 6 speed

Lt's(long tube headers) are definitely worth it.
Even more worth it if you can install yourself but considering they are kooks $1,800 seems reasonable for everything

Oh ok thanks and it's a M6. So headers actually wake up the car then and worth spending the money?

Initially, headers are a steep investment in money and harder sparkplug changes for the benefit you see on a stock car. However, if you ever do heads, cam, or intake manifold, the headers really help with the other mods. If you ever plan on any other performance mods (of course you do), get the headers.

I sit in the camp that the one of the best mods for an otherwise stock Goat is headers. Combine those with a tune, a sway bar, and an anti-roll bar and it makes the car much more enjoyable to drive.

Yes, but install them yourself. Quite easy on a GTO with simple hand tools. My manual 04 with Svede CAI, full exhaust and tune made 340/350 I believe.

Had my car recently tuned with 1 3/4' headers, catless mids + exhaust and an intake, made 372HP/376TQ on an all stock motor during a 95*F day.
