Driveline will feel completely different. Just make sure the adapter fits snug. Some have been too loose in the past.

Don't be alarmed driving over concrete, or rough roads, the sound is amplified through the tube and is audible, it's completely normal.

Enjoy!

I had an early aluminum one piece and had that looseness. After commenting on it Frank at DSS got a hold of me and said he'd send me a new adapter years after it was out of warranty. That made me a customer. The new plate came with longer bolts with lock washers and nuts. The original just had the bolt thread into the yoke. I never had a problem again . I've now stepped up to a DSS carbon fiber as my HP exceeded my aluminum's rating.

I remember you telling me this, that was very noble of him. The cf tube absorbs more of the sounds, and more of the higher pitched harmonics, it makes the drive more enjoyable.

I built myself a custom cf shaft years ago when I use to make kits and it has extra noise attenuation built in.

At the end of the day, cf is the way to go in the platform imo.

Thanks 2Qwk!! I am a little OCD and probably would have flipped out at any irregular noises.. I feel that I made a good choice.

The only noise that I get is an occasional "ding" when shifting from reverse to drive. That's the slack in the half shaft joints. I did have to adjust the trans angle. I had a little vibration so I measured the angles, raised the trans and shimmed, no more vibrations. Not a DSS shaft but it's aluminum.

All good guys. Ding and noise is normal and expected, vibes shouldn't be. It won't be as smooth as stock, but vibration is an issue. Looking at driveline and adjusting is usually an easy fix for us, I'm glad it worked out.
