Default Removing a single-peice driveshaft?

Putting a new tailshaft seal in, I can't quite figure out how to get my Hinson shaft out. I have the trans off the cross member and the differential down off the subframe, but it still doesn't have enough space to come out!

Define space? I had to pull mine not long ago the only thing in my way was the exhaust I dropped it no issues from there

Unbolt the shaft from the rear, use a pry bar to push the shaft towards the transmission, pull shaft down and out.

I don't have enough play to get the input spline side out or the end of the shaft of the pinon.. Exhaust off, no luck either.

Do I need to have the trans back on the cross member or in a certain position? I've been cussing at this thing a day and can't quite figure it out...

To pull it? Depending on the motor mounts it maybe part of why you can't get the tail shaft side to go in further.

When I installed mine I had a hard time lining up the keyway. Might be under tension, that could keep it from going in further? Is there room for it to go in further

Well I got it off the rear end, but now it's acting like it's completely stuck in the trans..

It is a slip yoke. Just pull it straight back. Might have to give it a quick yank if it is stuck.
