2004 exhaust question

2004 exhaust question
So it's my understanding that the stock 04 catback has one chambered muffler and one straight through muffler. My car has kooks headers with no cats, a baby cam and an 04 style Borla catback. I'm biased since it's my car, but I think it sounds great as is but it's just a little quieter than I'd like. It really screams above 4k but it's surprisingly mellow at lower RPMs. It's a 2.25" catback as opposed to the majority of others that are 2.5". I'm curious if I could replace one of the mufflers with a straight pipe or a different (louder) muffler while keeping the other Borla muffler. I know that's obviously possible, but I want to know if that will actually sound good or if it'll sound worse albeit louder. I'd hate to hack up an expensive catback and have it sound bad. I bought it with the Borla catback already on it otherwise I may have kept the stock catback or bought a louder catback to begin with.

your best bet is to find an original 04 catback, or at least the mufflers.

No get longtubes and catless midpipe with stock 04 catback. It is far from LOUD, but it's a nice tone and volume level.

I have the exact same exhaust, Borla Cat back. in 2007 I did my first engine upgrade. 122 Maggie, blah, blah. THAT woke the exhaust up. It screamed.
If you want the car to sound like a muscle car, either get some high flow cats or get rid of them completely. The difference is WOW.
