Hi yall, new member here

Just got a '04 GTO with an LS1 and 4L. I noticed the dome light, door panel light, foot well light and the glove box light isn't turning on, so i thought it would be a fuse blown. I checked the interior fuse panel and found the blown fuse. I got a new 10A fuse and as soon as i plug it in it sparks and blew.

I read all over the internet and almost everyone says to check the BCM harness behind the glovebox. I checked the harness and it is fine, there's some rubbing but no wires are exposed.

What could be the issue and what's the proper fix?

Pop the trunk dome light out and let it hang. put a fuse in. dont pop? the trunk light was installed incorrectly.
its a bad design.

Yeah, that trunk light has pissed me off a few times.

gonna try this in the morning! owned mine for a year now and still haven't found how to fix it.
