Default smoking the tires?

i have an 05 gto and i was wondering how you would go about smoking the tires i can do it perfectly on an auto but it doesnt work the same on a 6M.my friend told me you have to hold the clutch down white holding gas all the way till it redlines while on the brake with the same foot and then drop the clutch and as u drop it slam the brakes to the floor and it should smoke em....is that right?

dont have to go to red line . just dump it at 3000 and then move your foot to the brake while feathering the gas. or get a line lock lot easier that way and then go threw the gears

Linelock or dump the clutch at 3500 and step on the brake.

Not available for a 05 yet. Some have modified the 04 kit to make it work.

Drop the clutch then stand on the brake, it is not that tough. Just give it a shot.

I got the tires on my '04 to smoke just dropping the clutch at 2000 rpm. It was a cold night.

That is, but it is made for 04's. The 05's have different brake lines and the ABS system is positioned different.

Below is a link to my 4k burnout on the track with 275 Nitto Extreme Drag Radials. Yours is a LS2, so you probably have more power to the wheels than I do.
