Default Need some help on tire size (I know, ANOTHER wheel/tire thread)

Ok, here’s the scoop. I like to plan ahead. This winter I’ll be getting some tires and wheels. I’ve decided to go with some AZA Z-1’s and the come in the following sizes. 18x7.5 and 18x8.5. I have decided to put the 7.5’s in the front and the 8.5’s in the rear. I have a ’04 with stock suspension and do not plan to lower the car so my question is this.

How wide can I go on the rear tire without having make any body mods (going to buy BFG G-Force T/A KDW’s)?

For the front I’m going with a 225/40 R18 (25.1” overall)

For the rear I have the following options:

255/35 R18 (25” overall)
255/40 R18 (26” overall)

One last thing, the stock over dim is 25.7”. Will going to a 25.1” in the front and a 25” or 26” in the rear screw with my speedo too much?

Any help would be great.

Shouldnt screw with your speedo, and as for the size of the tire depends on the offset of the wheels. If its greater than the stockers you can run the taller tire.

You can use this gear/tire MPH calculator to find out exactly how much it will throw off your speedo.

On the F bodies if the front and rear tires were different diameters it activated the ABS under moderate braking because the tires were rotating at different speeds. Anyone know about the goat?

you can always get a tuner to redo the speedo conversion for you so it is not out it is only a 5min job...
