I'm trying to figure out the common way of getting there with a 2005 GTO... (other than N20)... What are the horsepower gains with bolt-ons like for these beautiful cars? Hit me up, folks. Have a good day, its almost summa-tymeeeeee!!!!!!! ha ha

as was already stated...
there are a few head/cam "packages" out there designed to deliver 500 wheel horsepower, but realistically speaking, a stock motor with a blow or a turbo (or two! ) huffing into it is going to be a lot more driveable on the street.

What kind of supporting mods do you generally need for a procharger kit (for the car to still be a solid DD)... other than what the kit comes with?

the APS kit is as cheap as anything your realistically going to get that will make 550 rwhp and not be undrivable. If you want cheap, get L92 heads with upgraded springs, L76 intake kit, long tube headers and exhaust, cam. Probably do all of this for about $4500-5000 installed. COUld make 500 rwhp on a stick car with enough cam and CR.

Just got "official-unofficial" results from my tuner:
D-1SC Procharger, Kooks LTs, 60lb Mototrons, 4.00" blower pulley, AlkyControl methanol injection and other mods in my sig.....
530rwhp, 440rwtq... I will have the sheet in a day or two!
BTW- 2004 LS1.....

TT's are the way to go if you can afford it. What are your ture goals though. Just looking to hit a HP/TQ number, track times, etc?

My goals are mid-low 11's @ mid-upper 120's MPH. Dyno numbers don't really matter as long as they're enough to get me the track times I want... so I guess if they need to be higher I will make them higher! If I don't get the times I want.. I am considering a smaller blower pulley, cam or heads in the future! Unless I just go with a forged bottom end and call it a day!!

While having a great set of dyno numbers will make you feel all warm and fuzzy inside, it would be wise for one to concentrate on the torque side first, as this is what this car REALLY needs, and then let the horsepower numbers follow suit. This car weighs nearly 4,000 pounds with the average driver in it. To move that mass, you need torque. I’d gladly give up a few RWHP for that!
In order to get torque (or more of it) from a supercharged setup, you need a roots style blower like a Magnacharger or a Whipple. You WILL sacrifice maximum RWHP vs. the centrifugal design blower like the Procharger that Speedy is running. Take a look at his numbers, 530rwhp is orgasmic, but look at the torque… 440 ft/lbs??? Not that 440 is bad mind you, but if I’ve got 530 ponies going to the rear wheels, I want about the same (if not more!) in torque hitting the rears also!
One thing to think about with this car (the GTO) is that most aren’t strong runners on the dyno when compared to similarly powered LSx powered vehicles. So looking at another setup in another vehicle that makes 515rwhp, will probably make a little less in a GTO. Some of this is part of the infamous heat soak issue we seem to suffer from.

I'm quite happy with my Procharger. That combined with a custom cam from AZPS at 7 psi, I was at 571 at the wheels (bit higher now cuz I'm running more psi and on e85). Your torque numbers will be a bit lower than a TT setup, but it's extremely driveable and will get you to your goal numbers. You have lots of options though.

Also, on a side note, there arent that many proven turbo kits out there nowadays and many need additional modifications to fit, or you have to have a kit custom built. With the procharger you can buy a kit that you know will fit with minimal modifications and will be extremely realiable.
