It all adds up!

U/D pulley,
CAI,
Optima battery,
headers,
catback,
skidplate delete,
gas tank cage delete,
"V" brace for tow hitch,
heat shields for mufflers,
remove spare for racing,
fiberglass hood,
FAST intake (maybe).

This is all I have done and my car with the spare weighs 3580 with no car seats.

Unfortunatly there isn't anythng else I can remove off of the front to reduce weight there. Too bad someone hasn't developed a K member for the GOAT yet. The one made by UMI for the F body sheds 33lbs off the front and adds much better handling. I haven't seen any fiberglass fenders made yet but that would help also.

Also, the driver could shed a few pounds. I know Im not the lightest I could be. Otherwise, lynmup pretty much got all the ones I was thinking about. Maybe drag rims or skinnies for the front. You could also do the sweet looking spoiler delete. Gut the trunk. Id say it really depends on how much you could do without (passenger seat, interior carpet, back seat, roof liner, stereo, speakers/sub, etc).

+ 1 on the personel weight reduction. I also agree on adding more power but removing stuff is free.

if your brave and dont mind voinding your warrenty, ditch the front bumper (not the cover) and do a small tubular one. then you can get rid of the front airbag crap. im sure there is some weight you could lose doing that. if you want i can post a pic of the tubular bumper.

i know this is not a goat but the same theory applies, it very simple to build yourself and cheap to have someone else do it. i believe on this paticular car he said he lost about 60lbs. well it wont let me add them as an attachment, and im retarded and dont know any other way so maybe some one coulod fill me in

This is all I have done and my car with the spare weighs 3580 with no car seats.

My car is stock as a rock and right off the showroom floor it weighed 3610 lbs without me in it, and now that I ditched the factory catback for a Magnaflow its probably less than that. Thats alot of stuff to get rid of or save weight on (skid plate, tank brace, V brace, spare and jack, 'glass hood, battery, no car seats) when mine with all that stuff in it weights just 30 lbs more. I wonder what the deal is there as it seems for some reason my GTO is lighter than everyone elses and I haven't pulled anything for weight.

Not sure on the difference, however, I went back to the same place and weighed it again with the spare tire and tools removed and the kids out of the car and it was 3660 this time. Origionally, it was 3640 lbs and the kids were in the back sleeping. Together, they weighed 60 lbs. That's where the 3580 came from. I know for a fact that there was a 101 lbs reduction during the second weighing. Can't explain it but I know their scale isn't quite right, but according to them, it's fine. Go figure.

Gas was maybe 1/16 more than the 1st time.

I would be too quick to remove the gas tank brace. Pete from Pedders suspension says that it gives a ton of support the rear of the car. I decided to kept it, i believe he knows more about a gto's suspension than anyone else in the states.

When you hit reply, you'll see a bar that says manage attachments. It will let you browse pics from your computer. That or hit the post image tab from above. You'll have to have the pics hosted on a site such as webshots or media putfile, etc. You put the url of the image you are posting and it will show it on the post.

The front bumper support only weighs 14 pounds and I'm guessing that your tube set up couldn't save much on weight.
I just took my out and put the bumper cover back on.
The A/C system (compressor, evap, lines.ect..) was 23 pounds.
The front sway bar was about 20 pounds
I'll have to dig out my list of parts that I took off, I weighed every part.
Each horn weighs 1 pound each, I kept one on took one off.
The trunk trim panles (carpet and plastic panels) was 7 pounds.
Rear seats are 50 lbs.
Front seats are 63 lbs ea. (ouch)

That one is still up in the air. Noone will ever make me believe that helps anything really, especially since the Aussi version with the tank underneath doesnt have it.
