Default New GTOs on the lots

Hey all, I used to own an 02 SS. I miss the V8 power and lopey idle. So I was doing a little searching and I noticed that Pontiac dealers still have a lot of GOATs out there. Then I heard you can get new ones for $22k!! Is that true? And if so, should I offer even lower since MY08 Pontiacs are arriving and the GTO would be 2 years old then.

I've never seen any for $22K brand new. Figure the best you can get is invoice minus rebates minus holdback. Holdback is 3% of MSRP.

Any lower than that, and you got a damn good deal.

22k hell naw. Prices have gone back up. The best you could do was 26k in the spring, now a lot of dealers are holding out for 30k since there aren't many left.

There are around 700 GTOs on the lots, less than 150 are M6.

If you can get a new, zero miles, 06 for 22k, then I'm buying me another GTO!

I cannot imagine not having at least 300HP with a V8 and rear wheel drive... Must have been rough.

I've been looking the past 2 weeks. Autotrader, carsoup, ebay etc...I cant even find a NEW 2006/M6 period. The ones with less than 5K miles are still commanding 25-27K. Even a 25K mile/2006 is in the 23K-24K range. If I could find a brand new, cyclone gray M6 I would give mid/upper 20's for it, but I cant even find one

They are out there you just have to look and be willing to travel to get one. In fact 3 weeks ago when I was looking there was a CGM M6 out there that I was looking at but decided to get the Silver w/ red interior instead. Depending on what rebates are still going you can get one for about 27K or so but I opted for the 0% so I paid $31K for mine. If you want an M6 you'd better get serious and moving quick!!!

I should be getting a call regarding the one Im buying any time now... QSM, 6M, black interior.

Only problem, Im in South Florida, and its in South Carolina.

The Pontiac website is your friend, its still listing quite a few cars with manuals. You might just have to look outside your immediate area.

Hell, I'd even buy another one at $22K! These cars are worth every bit of the sticker price after you have driven them for a while and seen what other cars for $31K are like. No comparison.

I'd trade my '04 for an '06 at that price! Would have to be spice red, though. That color is beautiful.

went to dealership today, would not sell below 33K sticker price. I basically laughed at him and walked away. Not sure if he knew it or not, but the car is going to be 2 years old very soon cause the 2008's are coming. So, to not go down at all, is just crazy. He had 4 of them and now I know why

The lowest I've EVER heard was $24.5K ... and that was once. You're going to be looking at at least $25K+ after rebates. Got mine for just under $27K after rebates. Best of luck, it's an awesome ride =)
