LS2 heads = 243 castings, will fit onto LS1 no problem.
LS1 & LS6 manifolds will bolt up to LS2 heads no problem. Same bolt pattern and port shapes.
Assuming the LS2 cam is the factory fitted stock item, it will not work in LS1.
The stock LS2 cam does not have the cam reluctor at the rear, so your LS1 cam sensor will pick up no signal. You could put the LS2 front cover with front cam sensor onto LS1 but that's a lot of extra bother.

My car isn't daily driven, but I can comfortably say this cam would be great for a DD.

that's a big stick though, with a fairly peaky powerband.
If CABRO is looking for a daily driver-type cam, I wouldn't suggest it. For a weekend cruiser though, that would make for a very mean setup.

There are actually quite a few people on ls1gto that daily drive the old grind S cam, that is why I got mine, you know what they say, pick out the cam, then go one size bigger! ('cause you will wish you had later)

don't believe all of what you hear man....I did a TON of research before i selected a cam and one of the facts of LSx modification is that BIG cams like the S-cam WILL sacrifice streetability, not matter how well they're tuned.
One of the common myths is that "the right tuner can make ANYTHING daily driveable!" and it's simply not true. There are some people who are willing to put up with a lack of engine vacuum, a hellaciously choppy idle, a power curve that resembles a big single turbo car, single-digit fuel mileage and a car that rocks back and forth enough to rattle bolts loose on a daily basis.
Thats doesn't mean it's for everyone. Can a big cam be reigned in with good tuning to at least be satisfactory on the street? sure it can, but If you're not prepared for a BIG change in the demeanor of the car, a big cam in a daily driver is not for you.
that said, if you're cool with said change, go for it. You'll make a ton of high-end power.
personally, I like being able to put around shifting at 1500 RPM to keep my exhuast semi-quiet when I want to. I like mid-range punch, and I like the nice mix between power and comfort/reliability that a smaller cam delivers.
In general, what I'm saying is that you should examine your own goals for the car. Think hard about exactly what you want in a modified car and plan your modifications with that goal in mind. Don't necessarily put your faith in people you don't know on the internet as EVERYONE has different tastes.
