Default Stock M6 Shifter!

What is the best shifter for the M6 GTOs. I'm looking for somthing that will have a real firm, notchy feel to it. Price is no matter just looking for the best. Thanks!

I would say either the GMM Race version or the new Billet Products shifter!

The GMM has been around the GTO longer and has a great repuatation.

The Billet Pro has been around shortly for the GTO but is gaining a great reputation as well. I have no complaints about mine. It drives nice and firm on the street, with notchiness while being precise and drives awesome at the drag strip when shifting harder and faster!!

If you can wait a bit go with the Billet Pro, if you want a shifter right away go with the GMM race version. Either way I am sure you'll be damn happy!

the GMM "race" version is a solid handle as opposed to re-using the stock handle which is rubber insulated...slightly different feel, not quite as positive but quieter than the race version by a little bit.

RallySportDirect.com will be carrying them. They are currently awaiting a new shipment whereas the first shipment sold out immediately! Get in touch with the guys at Rally Sport and get on the list! Good Luck!

My wife bought and had installed a B&M ripper yesterday. I can't compare to the others since I've never used either. However, the B&M is far better from the origional, that's for sure. I have heard that the GMM is the best followed by the Billet. I only wish the stick was a few inches shorter and closer to me on the B&M. I'm looking for handle options to correct it.

I driven the GMM in my opinion the Billet is a better overall shifter. Shorter throws front to back and side to side and is adjustable. Get on the list with Rally and you will be extremely happy.

GMM race, there's no question. It's notchy, all the gears are very close together, it feels very tight. It's the easiest 2-3 shift ever, you can't miss third.
