Well, the 04 is actually true duals even stock, but I know what you're trying to say, you want dual outlets like the 05/06. One way is to buy and install the rear valance from a 05/06 GTO and then just install a catback for a 05/06 (think you need to buy or make a hanger for the passenger side). If you want to keep your 04 bumper, then you need to cut out a place for the exhaust. There is a "Dual Outlet Exhaust Insert kit" available (see link).

well I bought borla cat back dual outlet as well as the banshee inserts from pfyc. come december 21st or 22nd going to have a performance shop cut the passenger side bumper to fit duals and install the banshee insert's painted PBM to make a clean cut and match my car. I'll post pics when I get it done. I would say buy the borla and the banshee inserts and have I shop cut the bumper unless you feel comfortable.

yeah like these guys said...it really isnt that bad at all. now what ive always been wondering is if the 05/06 stock exhaust will line up just fine if i run the banshee cutouts on the stock 04' bumper.
reason being is because i can get the 05/-6 stock catback from a friend for free and the banshee inserts are fairly cheap or i can just use the template printed off the internet and go at it myself

If you check the link posted above by batboy..... I think the banshee inserts are geared more for a set up like the borla cat back dual system.. tips look more flat and fits the cut out right. with the 05/06 it would work but idk how it would look. up to you. I know ur friends is free so that's a hard call.

I did split true duels. Used 05', 06' mids for my Kooks LT's and bolted up an 05', 06' rear bumper and Corsa sport. Got my split duels, a hot sound, and even the looks of an 05', 06' stock.

you will need 05/06 mid pipes to change over to an 05/06 catback for the dual exit exhaust. i took a stock 06 catback, welded in some magnaflow mufflers, added some banshee oval tips, and had the other exit cut out for me and i love the way it looks. if you use just a stock 06 catback and have to other exit cut out then the tips will not be center, they will be a little inwards from center of the opening.
