rear clunk noise?

Default rear clunk noise?

hey guys when i come to stop my car makes a clunk noise! it will do it when i first put in drive or reverse and let it accelerate on its own. no vibration at high speeds. any ideas as to what the problem is?

my 04 does it more now that i did the noltec rear diff bushing, mostly when putting it into gear.

Yea i noticed more noise with the noltec bushing also..

i also get a little klunck sometimes when i hit a bump in the road, almost like something in my trunk is loose, it is lowered so who knows

Its normal check the gm bulletin. A rear diff insert and some nicer motor mounts might cure it.

kinda sounds like the driveline back lash , most notice it after adding the rear cradle and/or rear diff insert

some have reported after adding the noltec motor mounts the noise was gone or less noticeable
