Default ls2 questions????

i bought a 2006 GTO 6.0L. I ran it at the track and got a 14.429 ET and a.318 reaction time. i am wheel hopping at the start. I am revving at 2000 rpm at take off. that was all i could do to minimize the hop. any ideas to grip better besides slicks? i am looking for some bolt on ideas to get into the 13's. i am willing to install a cam and maybe even heads. if i can get around 13.5 - 13.7 without going into the engine i would like that first. i am also wondering about the pcm. does anyone know how much i can do with the stock pcm or would it be better to get an aftermarket? and where would i be able to get one? i worked lot on mazda and mitsubishi so im not to familiar with GM and what i can do with it. anything helps any ideas. thanks

wow dude not to be a dick but that's horrible my stock ls1 runs 13.6's....don't come off so hard launch at like 1000 rpms that seems to work best for me...lower your tire pressure in the rear and raise it in the front...what was your sixty foot time???
where you located bud?

try some drag bags to deal with the wheel hop but before you start mods work on getting your ets lower. more horsepower will only make it harder to launch. i ran a 13.3 with just a CAI. is it a M6 or A4

At first I removed the skid plate, spare & jack. It helps a little and as far as wheel hop I launch at 1900-2200 and slip the clutch abit so I don,t shock the drivetrain and this works great on the street.

More seat time. Drag bags will help. I suck at launching too, so I feel your pain.

Your elevation is going to KILL your times. Dont expect too much that high up.

I would get drag springs over drag bags. I had bags and they leaked from day one so I switched to springs and never looked back. That is my opinion at least.

part of your problem is your elevation 5000+ is alot if you was to run at a lower elevation you would pick up, I would think i good tune for the type of air your in would make the biggest difference.
