New 2008 GTO
Isn't this going to cause a conflict with the new Pontiac G8 GXP?
http://www.motortrend.com/future/spi...gto/index.html
There will only be a 2 HP difference between the two cars. The GTO will have an LS2 and the G8 GXP will have an LS3, but detuned so as to not compete with the Corvette.

Yes I did read that. So you're saying it won't be a late 2008 release? OK, I didn't know that. No sense venting your anger at me. BTW, why do you call it a "****" car. I thought it looked OK, but not as nice as the new G8 GXP.

i want you to reread that article and analysis sentences like:
"The big, rear-drive sport coupe will be designed and built in the U.S., possibly at GM's Hamtramck or Wilmington plants, and it's likely to show up in concept form at a 2006 auto show, probably Detroit in January."
This is an old every old article. So no GTO in 2008 but with any luck the coupe 60 will be brought over.

nope, there will not be another GTO or firebird with the way GM is talking. i think they even canceled the program that converted the impala back to rwd. they've lost to much money to take a gamble on these type of cars now.

Lol @ how old this article is. Holden aren't developing a new Monaro (GTO) at this time. Plus the Coupe 60 wasn't even developed by Holden. The contract for that was outsourced to a Chinese company and the Coupe 60's main intent was to take attention from Ford's new FG Falcon and also as usual gage styling cues for future models.
Holden has been busy enough with Camaro engineering to worry about another Monaro. Actually GMH did an unveiling the other day outside the Melbourne HQ. We kind of deserved it considering the high percentage of development that was carried out here.
