Default 12V power outlet

ok we all know that where they put the power outlet in the 04 GTO was a bad choice. is there any other way to run a radar detector in the car without having to plug it into the outlet in the center console and having a cord split the car down the middle?

The second picture is of the remote power cord with optional remote display. It hardwires in. Meaning it has bare ends to connect directly to the fuse box etc.

I have heard that some guys use the power source that is tucked away behind the cubby. It's used for the smokers package / cig lighter.

You could buy the smokers package. It is like 75 and you will get one under the radio. Other wise buy a hard wire kit.

Yeah I hard-wired mine... tapped it straight into a wire that's on with the IGN on and ran the wiring around the perimeter of my windshield to hide it behind the trim.
