Whats it take
I just picked up an 06 orange m6 gto and whats it take to get this thing to 11.0? I so far got kooks headers, x-pipe, bassani cat-back, short throw, cai..
I know i am going to need alot more. I was thinking of throwing an APS tt kit on it. What kind of irs upgrades are out there?

You'll either have to go with a twin turbo set up (GenTT is what I suggest, forget APS). Or you will have to go N/A with nitrous... cam, heads, fast LSX intake manifold and nitrous. Of course all this does you no good if you don't know how to drive a stick with the best of them.
Since it seems you already have long tubes you might as well go N/A+nitrous. You'll also need some suspesnion mods to help cure wheel hop.

Hm, then drag bags/drag suspension, FAST, gears, and cam will get you there. Where's Alex when you need him in this thread? He's running mid-11s with, quoting from his sig, "Volant intake/Ported Fast 90/Ported TB/U-drive pulley/Custom cam/SLP Headers/Corsa sport/ECS tune/Pedders 5/16 raise springs/Big Bore rear shocks/Drag Bags/3.91 gears/Harrop Cover" so he has the Ported Fast and TB, cam, drag suspension, and 3.91s/harrop more than your mods, comparison-wise.

That's because very few put their money where the car needs it.
2 things come to mind when I think of fast 1/4 mile times in a 3800lb boat:
1) Power to weight ratio
2) Traction
Since dropping weight is only limited and is not practical for a street car then I would focus on traction.
Dump lots on money into traction first before proceeding to any other mods. No one seems to do this, because naturally it doesn't sound as exciting or 'fast'. 3.91's, and every rear suspension/drivetrain/tire mod you can think of that is in your budget is the thing to buy. Maximize what you have RIGHT NOW before adding power. Heck, make your car BOG off the line begging for more power to break em' loose. Weight transfer and anti-wheel hop is key for strong timeslips in such a traction-stricken vehicle like the GTO. No since in spending $10k for another 200whp and most likely riding on borrowed time. Build a bullet proof rear-end/suspension and throw some slicks on the back to get your slips to a desirable time. Tire spin isn't an issue when all you have to do is get good stickies and lower the tire pressure. It's the back-end commin' apart that makes things hard.

I'm running all the mods in my sig and still looking for the high 10's. I think by next summer i'll be there and it will all be N/A. It's definately a challenge though. i would already be there if I hadn't moved up into the mountains...lol

I did it back-asswards and was running (at the time) 450whp and everything south of the tranny broke. My times suuuucked b/c i babied it of the line for fear of breaking yet again. Ever hear of a high 12 second car running 117 traps? Ya, well, my excuse became, "I'm not going for ET. Going for traps." It almost broke my desire to race.
Don't make the same mistakes and learn from what ^^he^^ said.
