My 5.3 is 18-20 hi-way....13-14 in town....12-14 towing est. 6000#

Falls off a little with winter **** gas.
Overall I average about 13.5 in mostly city driving.

On the highway it's about 17-19 depending on speed and wind.

The wife's Av has a 5.3 with the same 6 speed trans and 3.42 gears.
It gets about 15 city 19-20 highway.
They both get about 12-13 towing about 6000#.

I would say it's about 10% lower mileage across the board compared to a 5.3.

one of the marine techs where I work has a nice one 2015, white , stock black 22's and tint 6.2/8 speed auto/3.42 ratio I believe maybe 323, g80 truck pulls well. After he got it I looked it up and found a pickup shootout there was a Silverado like his and a gmc that had different rubber that hooked better and it was damn close to 14 flat vs 14.2/14.3 for the silverado either truck could crack 13's on a dr.

I can see cracking 12's or damn close to it with long tubes , intake ,tune , dr's. The 8 speed keeps it right in the power band at all times I don't think a convertor would pick up as much as we see with an a4 on here.

Not bad....thanks.

And yes, 3.42's here...I test drove one (5.3) with 3.08's and felt like it was really down on power... this feels way better.
