Default 6.2 LSx Silverados

Post them up if you have one. I'm thinking about getting one. I'd like to know how you like it, what mods you've done, any issues you've had, etc.

We have a 2008 GMC Tahoe Denali with the 6.2, bone stock, and it impresses the hell out of me. I'd like to think having the same 6.2 in a truck with some long tube headers, dual exhaust, CAI, etc. would be pretty nice. Hell, maybe even a small cam.

I've been considering one, do you use premium in it or how is it using regular?

My wife drives it most of the time, so I'd say it's getting shitty 87 octane. It seems to do just fine with it.

I think they run around 14.0 stock, so I imagine one with bolt-ons would surprise some folks.

One thing I kick myself in the *** for...not test driving a 6.2
Ended up with a 5.3 and 3.42's....does fine for towing and DD duty.....but really wish I did look at the 6.2

I have a 17 GMC with the 6.2. Run 91 in it so far. It has so much more power than the 13 5.3. better fuel milage. Would never go back to the 5.3

I have a 2010 Sierra SLT extended cab with an L9H I bought in 2014.

I used to have a 2009 Silverado with a 4.8 and the wife has an Av with a 5.3.

The 6.2 rocks. The mileage is the same as the 4.8 and it pulls WAY harder.

I'm thinking I might take it to the strip this year, I'm thinking high 14's @ 97 - which is right about where the rev limiter is.

No mods, it's my winter DD.

Biggest beef is the exterior door trim is falling off.

I did almost buy a 2015 Silverado with a 5.3 and I would still say unless you NEED the mileage, get the 6.2.

Mine has VVT but not AFM. 8 cylinders all the time.

I'd like a 2008 crew cab GMC all terrain. I could probably afford one of them. A 2015-2017 would be awesome, but way to pricey.

My 08 Denali Truck w/ 6.2 gets 16-17 in town and 18/20 highway. Has a generic tune in it and a K&N filter that's it. 140K on the odo. Oh and that's running heavy *** 24's. My 08 Silverado w/ a 5.3 got 18 in town and 22 hwy and it had a real tune and nothing else. Sold that truck for the 6.2

Yeah I thought so too. Unless they did a swap or something which I doubt. One owner truck and only did oil changes on it.
