Default Gallardo lp560 or Audi R8 V10

I currently own a 2009 Audi R8.

Car is freaking awesome..

But 0-60 in 4.0 and a 12.7 at 113 quartermile just isnt enough for me....I need more than the stock 420 hp!

I could do exhaust and tune plus intake and get 460 hp...

But its hard to spend the money on the v8 when I know theres a V10 R8 out there.

So Im thinking about the following vehicles and wondering your opinion..

2008 F430 aprox 115k

2009 lp560 aprox 130k

2012 Audi R8 V10 aprox 100k

2014 lp550 aprox 135k

Price is important and 135k is most defiantly my max.

Theres a part of me that would like to try a zr1 or a 2016 Viper.....

But trust me when I say this.....

Once youve experienced a paddleshifting awd 140k R8 with the engine in the rear under the glass.....

I mean...I love Vipers more than anyone and I have a soft spot for the ZR1,,,,

But theres just no going back to rwd manuals with the traditional engine placement.

Thanks for any help

I'd say Audi R8 because that's my favorite car, but the fact that you already own one... the exotic Italian cars would be super fun.

Well since there's no going back I'd get the F430 or the V10 R8..

I drove a Lamborghini, the amount of people looking at the car was amazing. But it was the worst car I ever had the privilege to drive. (it was a murcielago though) If you have highways it is almost like that is where it wants to reside.

My current car...All stock..

I wont lie, I cant speak for the V10s...But the V8 R8 is just a really easy to live with car.

Im surprised not more gallardo love...Or maybe Im not alone when I feel that a gallardo is a,lil played out???

To the point that a F430 or R8 almost seem more exotic these days?????

But its a freaking Lambotghini...

I have to give the gallardo owners props..You see a lot of them racing in our vids.

I want a V10 sooooo bad!!!!!!!!

Have you driven the said cars you want yet? You may end up driving something and that will make the decision for you if you like it or not.
Initial cost is one thing, but can you afford upkeep and maintenance too on an exotic Italian car?
I would see if you can twin turbo the car you currently have.
For what its worth I drove an LP560 at one of those exotic car drive events. I drove around an auto-x course they had setup and honestly was a little disappointed. I think they heavily detuned the car or something, it didn't feel like anywhere near 500hp, my 433rwhp full weight street car Trans Am pulled way harder, and it was gutless in the low RPMs (wouldn't let me use the paddle shifters or launch control, launch from foot brake and car felt weak). Handling was good and car overall felt good but I expected more, my strano-ized TA would not break a sweat lapping around that thing on that tight course. Actually made me feel better about my old tech fbody...

I'd get a 911 GT3. One of the best drivers cars out there though its not as flashy as a Lambo or R8. And you can actually use it as a daily if you want.

The R8 and flashiness...

My opinion is it sits right in the middle of a Viper and Lambo..

Flashier than a maserati porsche or aston martin, but not quite in the ferrari lambo camp

Women love the R8 though. Every chick tells me my R8 looks wayyy better than a lambo. I dont think so though.

Ive never driven a lp560 but at 3600 pounds and 450 awhp I doubt its crazy fast.

I think they do like 11.6 at 124 mph in the quarter on average.

Wayyy faster than my current R8 though.

I hate porsche....I know they can hit 60 in two seconds and what not but geeze they are so boring to me.

Anytime I drive my car I see like 5 porches, some cost 60k some cost 180k...But they all look the same to me.

They also depreciate REALLY fast

If you love your current R8 and its easy to live with and just want more power- it seems the best solution is just get the V10 version. How much can you get for your current one? Not like you cant get the V10 then add exhaust and a tune to that one.

But at that price point I seriously hope the gains are great. How many arms and legs do they want for an exhaust system for a supercar like that?

Intake, exhaust and tune on a r8 V10 will take you from 525 hp to 605 hp with agressive pump 93 tuning. 575 hp with mild 91 pump tuning.

Like all cars you can find ones for sale that already have that stuff.

The funny thing is....

A guy with a 5k exhaust, 1500 tuning and 1k i take will get the same or less for his car than a stocker.

People who buy these cars prefer low milage stock examples.

I think you are right...

It would just be kool to have keys in my pocket that say Ferrari or Lambo lol.

Would be kool to feel like a low budget bruce wayne lol.

The attention must suck though!!!!

In my R8 I have people filming me and taking pics while driving and its annoying as ****.

Italian must be twice as bad

My opinion, as is one of many, I would get a F430 if I was in that market. I like Audi R8 but its almost too business looking for me, like most Audis. Lamborghinis haven't really appealed to me since the Murcielago went out of production.

I think the R8 is about the cheesiest looking sports cars out there. It has the clown car look like the Veyron.

Get a Supercharged Corvette....mod it a little bit.....be way under your $135K budget.....and *** rape any of the other cars, in just about every way.

And daily drive it for years and years.

I'm here in Dubai.....there's a ton of used exotics for cheap out here. Almost anyone making just decent money....$125,000-$200,000 per year can own a 3-4 year old Lambo, Ferrari, GTR, etc.....

I'm considering getting Lambo. Keep it just 1-2 years, then sell it for a little loss. Then go for another type.

Also, a few GT 40's for sale....but they hold their value much better than the Lambo.
