I hate doing anything on my phone, screen is too small (iPhone 5) and nothing bigger fits in a pocket so I have a couple tables and a mac laptop, like the tools in my toolbox each has their place..

Now get off my lawn!

I'm browsing this thread right now on my phone, it's not too small, I do have the iPhone 7 plus though which is a bit bigger. I originally thought this size wouldn't fit in pockets either but that's definitely not the case it fits in just about any pocket.

I tried the phone app, but prefer the desktop layout much more whenever I have used my phone to browse any forum.

I use a computer for 99% of my internet surfing, gaming, looking **** up, etc. Why? Because phones SUCK. Give me the precision of a mouse and keyboard any damned day of the week. Give me the reliability of plugged in ethernet over a phone that can't keep a 4g signal for more than a few minutes.

On LS1tech I actually do use the desktop layout because it's the only one that allows me to select the down arrow by my screen name (upper top right corner) and then select "View Recent Posts" - I personally find that feature so nifty that it makes me look for it on other forums when I'm browsing.

Sounds like you need a new phone service provider.

Could depend on his geographic location too. No carrier can provide 4G LTE to every place in the country..besides most 4G is limited to Major cities and interstate highway corridors.

As far as 4G Speeds, I have AT&T Fiber at home, 4G couldn't dream of keeping up with that in terms of speeds. (1 Gigabit per second download / 100 Mbps per second upload)

I'm in Louisville, not exactly major....and enjoy lightswitch fast Internet through t-mobile. Not sure of the actual speed though.

Phone is fine for simple stuff. I don't use mine for much more than the note pad, calculator, and music apps. I used to use the **** out of craigsnotifica to find stuff on cl, but that app is dead and I haven't found a good replacement.

Mobile sites are ****, and if I have to type at all, it's too time consuming on a phone. I'm over seas and I communicate a lot with fb messenger. Much easier to type on a keyboard than my phone.

Just bought a new laptop and monitor a couple months ago. I keep this stuff at work, though don't really use it for work. We have a lot of down time, so it's for watching movies, browsing the web, and gaming.

Phone is for on the go, desktop is for home. Why the hell would you use a tiny inferior machine with a smaller screen and less control and weaker components in the comfort of your house? The point of a cell phone is portability. When I'm not on that, I'll be browsing/gaming/developing (whatever) on this.

I'm a Systems Administrator... I am on two local computers at once while remotely logged into four to five servers at a time.

I'm also a huge gamer nerd, and on a side note I am happy that I do not have to use anything Mac based... which will sadly change when I start my new yob down at Comcast Corporate. I'll probably load Windows on it and never look back lol
