Default Age Poll

Plus the good, bad and ugly about getting old.

There was a post on here a few weeks ago about the decreasing number of people on here and the increasing number on facebook. It was pointed out by several people that one of the reasons is age. So....

I'm 27 and very much prefer forums over fb groups, info is more easily searchable imo and less clowns who just join groups to hate on other peoples rides and questions. I've learned a ton from this forum and others and hope it sticks around for a long time.

NPR did a segment years ago on brain function. In a male age 50 is the peak.
Historian Shelby Foote mentioned no man can be a historian until reaching the age of 40. By then one is mature in the ways of the world.
Health is more genetics than any other metric.

28 but don't do any social media. I have been to n the forums since I got my first fbody and don't think I'll ever leave. The 18-25 age group seems to really be more about appearances than anything. I hired a new guy recently that was 19 and the hardest part of the training was getting him off his phone. He couldn't go more than 2 minutes without checking his phone. He is a great employee now so it shows that they can change.

And yes, starting to pay for my "bright" decisions in my younger years.

Oh, no face book.... too much drama IMO.

31, prefer forums over facebook groups. I feel like the groups I am in are 75% people that just want to be spoon fed.

I'll be 25 in March, bought my Chevelle when I was 15. I've found facebook groups can be helpful if you're in the middle of a project and need a quick answer to a question. However, I still prefer forums because they're much better for archiving information. If I have an LS related question I can usually find it already answered on here.

Shelby Foote is so cool. I love him in Ken Burbs Civil War Documentary.
