Default SCCA...what class?

I have a turbocharged T/A, which class am I in? This rule book is confusing but Im assuming im in the Street Modified. If thats the case what modifications am I limited to? Thanks.

I believe its Super Modified or something like that... but basically you will be allowed to do pretty much anything you want suspension wise without cutting up the chassis, or changing the design, ect. Id imagine you would have the option to reduce a lot of weight, change number of caliper pistons, rotor diameter, full "slicks", im sure theres a lot more you could do IF you wanted...

Youd be up against highly modified vettes and porsche gt3's just to name a few very competitive cars.

Its alaska so theres not many of those cars up here to compete against. :p

Street Mod would probably the class you'd end up in. It's pretty liberal in the rules and there is a min weight calculation based on displacement and power adders. I think a full interior is still required.

The blower puts you in street mod. Engine mods are unrestricted except that the block has to be a production block built by GM...no Dart-type stuff. Suspension mods are unrestricted so long as you don't have to cut the unibody. Brakes are unrestricted. Rear seat delete is okay but the rest of the interior is required. K-member swap is a no-no; so is meth injection.

I ran SM for two years with a T-Bird SC. Fun, but not a good car for the class so I bought a CTS-V and now a 99 Z/28 for ESP. Unfortunately a T/A isn't the right car for SM either; expect to see lots of Evos and Subarus. Still, have fun!

SM...full interior still required, but you can remove the rear seats, spare, jack, etc. Very competitive class, though...have you considered C-Prepared?

Non-OEM forced induction setups are illegal in CP. Only certain cars that came with forced induction from the factory (XR4Ti, T-Bird SC, etc) are allowed but they have to run a 52mm restrictor within 4 inches of the compressor inlet. CP is not designed with forced induction in mind.
