18x10.5's

I just picked up a set of C5 Z06 wheels, all 4 are 18 x 10.5 with a 53-54mm offset. Is anybody running these up front on an F-body camaro?? I need to know what I need to make them fit before I THINK I have it right and shred a tire. Thanks

If they are the stock alcoas or speedlines (56mm) they fit without a spacer, but depending on what size tire you run you will need a spacer for the rubber to clear. The wheels themselves dont rub on the inner knuckle so thats immediate good news.

I was running 295/18s and used a 5/16 spacer with stock studs no problems with rubbing. I never made it to 315s but I'm guessing you probably need a little more spacer at which point longer studs are needed to be safe.

look at this thread over at frrax.

On Frrax you said no spacer required on the front for 295/30/18's correct? Im running the same size 295/30/18 on the rear, do you still think ill need a spacer?

if you read down further it says that it rubs in AX driving but not on the street. It rubs because of tire flex. The rear needs a spacer for sure, it hits the lower control arms, also if you have an adj panhard bar it will make things alot easier.

The rear will also require some BFH action, just take your time and hit alan blaine for some nice spacers.

I am running 18x10.5" at the rear on mine w/o any spacer. Offset is 54 mm and also running on 295s at the back. I can't comment on the front as I'm only running 9.5" at the front also w/ 54 mm offset.

Cool, think I am going to just get 1/4" spacers for all wheels and hopefully that will do the trick.... I auto-x quite frequently so I cannot afford any rubbing.
