Running an auto cross Sunday
Hey guys,
I'll be running in a SCCA auto-x this weekend and was just wondering if anyone could tell me what class I should be in. I was thinking ESP, but wanted to make sure.
My mods are:
Engine - Torquer V2 cam
Intake - Lid and an LS6 Intake
Exhaust - Long tubes, true duals + 1-chambers
Suspension - Stock, with the exception of Summit's version of the Pro Kit.
I'll be running on my street tires.
Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks!

Yeah, the cam is what I wondered about. I'm not competing or anything, just doing one of the weekend events. I did do one other back in 2009, but I didn't have the cam or the springs back then. I was in ESP at that point. Thanks for the help!

LMAO. I hope that's the case, but I doubt it. I'm more used to driving in a straight line and road type courses. Right now the only others registered in ESP are an 06 SRT8 Charger and a 79' Firebird. We'll see how it goes. It's all for fun anyway.

Yeah, a girl I used to work with had one, and I thought the same thing. I don't know either of these guys cars, so I don't know what either of them has done. I may be at an advantage, and I may be pretty outclassed. Don't really know yet.

Well, I ended up in SM. I got second place to a damn nice Quicksilver MKIV Supra. I would have won the class if I hadn't missed the turn into the exit on my quickest lap, lol. I kind of got caught up in the moment and drove right past it. He ended up taking the class by 0.2 seconds. Pisses me off that I would have won, if it weren't for a stupid mistake. It happens though. I had a blast and plan on going back to do it again next month. Got a few pics. I was bored before we started, so I made some numbers and class decals out of masking tape. After I did it, like 5 other people decided to, instead of using the window crap, Lol.
