My open track road race project.

My open track road race project.
Well I'm hooked!!! After my nurburgring laps and Snetterton open track day, I am officially interested on tracking my car indefinitely!
A few things I noticed and need to fix while I was at the track...
The brakes eventually fade at the very end... gradually but not completely fade.
I have C6 base BBK, SS brake lines with hawk+ pads on the front and ceramics at the back with Motul brake fluid.
I'm thinking I need to switch to Carbotech XP10s?
Should I upgrade for 6 pot monoblock calipers like C6Z06s/CTSVs?
I also need blaine's brake cooling duct kit and his PS cooler as well.
My car needs better tires.
I'll have to get a dedicated track tires/wheels definitely! Maybe Alcoas or speedline C5Z06s 18s with Hoosiers or Toyo tires.
Weight! I need to get a better balanced weight for this car.
Maybe? I'll do battery relocation at the back and do some unsprung weight deletion. IE: Switch my solid SB to Sam's hollow version and Fiberglass hood.
Should I upgrade my stock gear to 3.89?
I'd like to keep the nicesities in the car still as I do like driving this car in the streets/highways as well.
What do you guys think?

You took the hook . I have some experience Lots of cars, lots of builds, lots of money. Enjoy the car you have don't replace stuff that works just drive it. If you want a track car buy one. Its a never ending pursuit to upgrade a street car. You can buy a built car for less money.
All cars have limits you are finding some with your car. work on driving around your cars limits. be easy on the breaks set the pads with a few taps before each break zone. break ducting and better pads when you trash the stuff you have I would go with PFC stuff.
Drive it enjoy it.

Your brake setup is good with the addtition of the cooling ducts, you need XP20 on the front and XP10 on the rear. I tried this setup last weekend HOLY ****!!!!!!!!!!!
I would stick with 17 inch tires strictly for cost, consider a 17x11 on all four corners with a 315/35/17. I run the NT-05 Nitto and love it. I run the 275/40/17, $660 a set.
Stay with a 3.42 gear, the car will run 140 in 4th gear.
BUY A SEAT, BUY A SEAT, BUY A SEAT.

^ hit all points on the head there. Second all of that advice. I wouldn't sweat the swayed in terms of weight, you'll get some but not a ton. Seats will double dip in terms of stability for you and big weight savings.

Hi, I wish I had opinions on what you are looking for, but I am looking to building a street/track car and I was wondering if you have any info and/or pictures of the C6 Brake kit on your car? How did you mount them?
thank you!
thank you!

Here are some pictures of my C6 BBK.
As you can see, the kit comes with BBK mount on each side.
It was definitely an awesome experience. Thanks.

My car has a Wolf Racecraft 4 point bar in it, if you choose a sheetmetal seat it will have to have a back brace to the bar.
This is my seat install. Best money BY FAR spent on the car. I wish I would have done this FIRST. I take it out when not doing track days and put my WS6 seat back in.

On your brake kit, I dont like those brackets. Most who run heavy track days and hard on the street run these(I run these also).

I also run Blaine Fabrication cooling ducts

Our cars could pass for twins.

The event coordinator of a road course track that I participated a few weeks ago said it the best...
It sounded like a thunder storm was coming down the road !
