Rear end Q's?

So my 10 bolt is finally giving way. Looks like its time to swap it for something better. My goal is to get something as cheaply and beefy as possible, with AutoX in mind. I don't really drag my car. I also am wondering what the best type of LSD is for AutoX. I would love to find a 12 bolt in a junkyard with a good LSD, but who knows. I want to make this happen on a minimal budget, so things like the S60 are out of my reach. BTW I have a 99TA with M6, Spec stage 3 clutch, and Richmond 4.10 gears in the stock rear. What do you suggest? Thanks.

Find another 10 bolt out of a car that someone else is swapping in a Dana 60 or Ford 9". That is going to be the cheapest route. For road racing or auto x the 10 bolt is good. The time and money invested in making a 12 bolt out of a junkyard fit your car would not be worth it.

find a built 10 bolt. a 9" is heavy as shit and it's not worth the trouble when it comes to rr/ax. brake setups for 9" suck too, ask me how i know.

i agree... just find a used diff for a 10 bolt. Road racing and autoX dont put the stress on the rear like hard launches

What is "giving up" in the rear?
