I know I had a lot of issues with brake hop in AutoX. Swapping to a full length torque arm helped tremendously. I'll be putting a more aggressive pad on the front vs rear and hopfully clear most of it out this year.
sorry I have no advice on anything else. Never done a road course.

You need to do an HPDE! So much fun.

Not at all, that's why I posted the picture. I absolutely love it. Worth every penny I got the 3500 lb lift and it's plenty for my E36 M3 and Camaro. I use it all the time in the garage. For example right now I'm going to swap my pads and wheels to the street ones. Just going to use the lift to get the car off the ground. Makes it so easy. The best thing is the ability to throw it in the back of the truck and bring it to the track. I highly recommend it.

My alignment slipped. The dude didn't tighten everything down. Just got it all fixed and I made sure he torqued everything this time. I should have double checked him.

I'm glad it was something so simple and you found it without chasing a ghost. I had a terrible unsettling on any right handed turn that I fought for like 3 autoX events only to find out that my left front shock broke at the top and had no rebound.

SCCA developed a new program last year to get people interested in HPDE and road track. $150 and they usually do it on week days. They have like 3, maybe 4 this year at NOLA but they do them at most tracks all over the US.
I hope you do. I'd love to get advice from someone who is familiar with track and has f body knowledge.

Copy that, I plan on using it to get my feet wet a little. I want to come back for July 8th? for the open track day and get some laps with an instructor. Unless you know of some other events worth making. Got a friend who will be coming with me who will be breaking in his c7 z06.

I only run in winter, too damn hot in the summer.

Looked like a lot of fun! Road courses will find weak/wrong stuff pretty quick. Lots of good thoughts here. The best setup I've found for f-body axle hop is to use Unbalanced Engineering's Decoupled torque arm set up. I've had zero hop since. Advantage, you get to use aggressive brake pads front and rear. One problem is Jason stopped making them last year I think. Might still be able to find one somewhere. Oh, like someone already pointed out, get under the car before every event and check all fasteners. Have fun, good luck, Regards

To be fair, alignment bolts in a race setting are single time use/expendable items. If yours have been torqued more then once, they're going to slip. Common/regularly replaced item on miatas (and they're WAY overtorqued as well, to help prevent slip. roughening the eccentric inners helps)
