AutoX on 225's I'm guessing no one's ever even seen a 225 tire on their F-body... However, I'm in college and I gotta skimp somewhere and still have fun. Bridgestone tires have a rebate on them atm and the first event starts up in 2 weeks. I'm gonna get the Re-71r's 225/50R16 (stock rims) and see how they do. Was wondering if there is a better 200tw tire out there by now, or are the Re-71r's still the king for now? |
Probably won't be able to carry as much speed in the corners or you'll understeer like a dump truck. I had 275s on all four corners and I felt like those weren't enough. |
71s are still king. |

71s are still king. I was concerned that there is a better tire for a smaller size, ie. 71r's are best for 275mm but won't be as good for holding up to a 225mm? I don't know why I was thinking that... I've been finding that the V720s work best for lighter cars and 71r's are best for heavier cars I believe. Maybe that's why I see the V720's doing so good in smaller sizes because they're on smaller, lighter cars. Bridgestone for me then |
