Well looks like it is finally time for the first event in Bugzilla! I will be running it this Sunday. Signed up too late and Saturday was already sold out. Will be a very interesting day and hoping nothing breaks or blows!

Anyone else signed up for either days? Anyone going just to be a spectator?

Good luck on your first drive. Hope it runs well. I'm not going either day. PCA Sunday for me.

Thanks Steve. It is going to be a scary first couple laps for me. Can't say I have owned a car as fast as the Bug and probably not one that handles as good. Its going to be different.

Do you know if you are going to make it to the Hotchkis finals? I will be there both days for sure!

I hope you have video of these runs. Looks like I have no other plans on the final. Although I do have two to three events that month. I'll have to see.

Yep videos will be taken. Just got a new in car camera so I hope it turns out decent. I should have them up Sunday night.

Well I ran the event on Sunday! Everything went smoothly beside breaking a motor mount. Good thing my work was close and I fixed it in time to make it to the next round. I started off in the compact car class and got best time there. Then they decided since I had r-compound tires to throw me in the ultimate street car class. Well, I still won! I also won the special recognition award from Wilwood. Got to say thanks to Rob for putting on the event as well as Wilwood!

Congrats. I have to say, that car looks crazy to drive. Is it hard? What was your time?

Thanks Steve! It is not too crazy to drive. Quite nice with no power steering. Cant even tell. Couple things I am going to have to get used to. This thing is fast. Its been a long time since I have owned a fast car. Way different then doing auto x in the Juke. Its like you dont even have time to think. The brakes work extra good. Need to brake way later. Its is very tail happy when not on the throttle. But the transition from under steer to over steer is very smooth with the throttle. Its a steer with your foot type of car. Then the worst part, the throttle. It is so touchy that it makes part throttle very hard to do. You can hear it in the video. Throttle on then off then on then off, no inbetween. Overall, I like the way it handled. I will make a few adjustments but keep it pretty close to how it is now.

My fastest time was 48.4. Quickest person of the day did a 46.9 which I think was .5 seconds faster then 2nd fastest time.
