Wegner says that they make 620-625 hp and 510 tq on the ls2. They make 680 with the ls3 head on a 6.2 @ 11 to 1. These engines are nothing exotic just the right combination.

The nascar spec engines run flawless at 8000 rpm with a stock ls7 lifter. Yes you have to have the right spring rate , ti vlalves , stock rockers.

I agree with you on the lacking . I was just showing the difference going from a ls6 to a ls3 bottom end with no other changes. The headers are 1 3/4 and a stock ls6 intake and throttle body.
