Wow, that's a lot of work. I usually just sand the anodizing off in 5 seconds with an angle grinder and a roloc pad or whatever.

I did not say quiet, I said they could be quieter than a muffled car. It all depends on how loud the muffled car is. Have you never heard a muffled car that sounds almost as loud as an open header...
