The speed engineering headers on my dads 2000 ss hit the bellhousing on the drivers side. We grinded that area off the bell and fit fine good. The old dynatechs he had on his fit fine with the bell....

Thatís true, I was thinking about it in terms of how it came from the factory instead of it having an aftermarket crank in it. Makes me wonder which one the majority of the aftermarket cranks use.

Nope, you donít notice the spool unless its really low speeds turning as in parking lots and such. Once you get over around 15 to 20 mph you wonít know itís there. We never had any issues or noises...

I ended up using stock on mine. I got to reading a lot on it and what engine builders were recommending. The tiny amount of compression bump would have hardly made it worth the extra money.

The tsp headers have the same design as the kooks...

The tsp headers have the same design as the kooks which is what I have. That #1 primary tube comes out too far for the steering shaft, Otgerwise I would easily consider those. Thanks for the info...
