Default Seating the torque converter?

I am currently installing my new tranny and torque converter. I put the torque converter on the tranny and spun it while pushing in. If I put a straight edge across the bellhousing, the torque converter is recessed about 1-1/8" (measuring to the mounting point on the TC). Is this as far in as it needs to go?

If you have a GM product with a 4l60-e the spec is 1.065 plus or min .060
so you are ok!
