Checkvalves are very simple devices and are normally not the cause themselves. Most of the time problems are due to contamination which gets into the pump during the installation process. All it takes is a fine grain of dirt on the pump or filter sock's inlet to get sucked up and lodged on the checkvalve's seat. This is why it is very important to keep these surfaces protected and the work environment clean during the installation process. There is a way to clean the checkvalve seat but it is a very delicate operation which can create more problems if the person performing the procedure does not have the proper tools and skill to tackle the job!

Was your old pump under warranty? Did it get replaced by Racetronix for free or did you have to buy another pump?

Had to buy another pump Then when i questioned them about it they E mailed me this crap about paying shipping and a $40 fee to check it out
Maybe i'll post the email so everyone can see for themself's
Never again
BTW most of my frustrations are from walbros warranties and the fact they say they have never had a bad fuel pump.
And if they think i'm paying someone to tell me there part is bad THEY ARE HIGH!!!!
The worst part is that i have to get Harris Speedworks involed and they had super customer service

Well...... Racetronix owner Jack contacted me this evening at my house and to say the least i appreciated his call and the time he spent talking to me. At this point i understand that the delicate corners we are all in and it's a shame that there is 1 company that holds the key to all the problems, Which is Walbro. Jack told me to send him the pump so they can test it free of charge{ $40 fee is a Walbro fee} not a Racetronix fee. My biggest problem is if in fact it turns out to be a defective pump i would like the labor paid for the 2nd pump install. At first i was going to dispute my credit card but i do not want to involve Harris or racetronix in this, so if it was not a problem with my install and after Racetronix tests my pump and tell's me what was to blame i will inform everyone.
I wish Racetronix would design there own pump so we would not have to rely on a huge company that does not give a crap{WALBRO} BTW jack spent allmost 2HR's on the phone Now if they would design a pump and a external pressure regulator kit that's plug and play and give me a great price i would have no choice but to buy them So my advice to Jack and Racetronix is, Stop bullshitting with people like me and get to work!!

Thanks Shawn

Sounds like destroyerss already chimed in and answered your question. Maybe you just want to hound Racetronix, either way, we're done here. The thread died a few days ago.......no point in bringing it back.
