I see a lot of misleading information here....
Ive dynoed the fast intake on my personal vehicle, almost totally stock LQ9with a PUNY stock cam (196/207 .469/.479 116), stock exhaust manifolds, stock LS2 heads & intake. Zero changes except the intake itself, same DBW 90mm TB. No tuning, all testing was done on the same dyno, same day, same hour, I gained 21rwp. And I picked up power EVERYWHERE!! This 4500+ crap is nonsense, this isnt a Victor Jr.



Ive also done the same thing on a at least 4 completely different 5.7L LS1 and 6.0Ls. Results alway show gains through out the entire curve.

 

I agree that the FAST is a better intake compaired to the ls6, but the ls6 is a better intake compaired to the ls2 as well. As far as factory manifolds goes, ls2<ls1<ls6<l92<ls7. So the ls2 intake is by far the worst intake GM ever made for the ls series of motors, even with the 90mm throttle body, so it's no surprise you gained everywhere.

Back to this mythical beast known as the "Street Warrior", sounds like a typical salesmen at Summit who just wanted to complete an order. He knows there would be no harm or foul because you wouldn't be charged till it shipped, so what could you complain about.

Hell, I'd buy one, and if by chance you did get it, you could sell the pics for more than you actually paid for the intake.

I work at summit in sales. I don't know who you talked to but you are right. We have never received any shipments of them and we are not going to anytime soon. I have been calling them every month for who knows how long about availabilty and I keep hearing next month. I called them a week ago and I heard end of Aug is the new date. But even at that I am seriously doubtful....... If we had a shipment come in I would know about it

 

Thanks George for setting the record straight on this one. I called (Summitt) again today to get told the exact same thing that you just told all of us. I guess the first guy I talked to had been hanging out with Towlie.

 

Its not misinformation my friend; its based on my personnal result on a dynotuning session with my ported FAST 92 setup over my LS6 with mild cam but Stage 3 heads(maybe not a good combo unless with a big cam). You got nice result all across the board, but for me, it wasnt this way, but I'm still very satisfied I got 17rwhp /11rwtq from it!!! It just mean to me that I need a bigger cam to get more power at higher RPM.

OP has to realize its not everyone who gets the miracle with the FAST setup, some has gain 0-8hp with it...and some up to 35rwhp!!!(usually from LS1 intake and H/C setup)
