Default Ls radiator with steam port and return port

I have a l76 that I am swapping into my 81 cutlass. I am puzzled about what radiator to use. I've searched a few threads here and all of the solutions that other people are using do not seem to have both a steam port, and return port. 4th gen ls1 f-bodies have the correct style radiator but those radiators are design to sit at an angle in the car, which would give me problems when installing hoses. Does any one have any ideas on this issue?

85 El Camino radiator.

It has an inlet on it that will work for your steam port, but you'll have to get an adapter because its much bigger than the steam hose. We just screwed together a couple of brass barbed fittings from the hardware store.

Another option is drill/tap the flat spot on top of the water pump. This is a low pressure area that will pull through steam port and push it into the radiator.

Yep, works great. I actually tapped the backside of the boss so it was hidden more.

Third gen Camaro radiators bolt right in and have a port you can use for the steam line. You will have to step the port down with fittings.

The downside to drilling/tapping the pump itself is having to do so again when you replace the pump (which might not be convenient). Autometer (and others) make radiator hose junctions you can use to both potentially make hose fitting easier and run the steam line.
You could also drill/tap the water pump spacers, if your application uses them.

Jags That Run has a whole line of adapters that will let you hook the steam port into the upper radiator hose.
