No, that information would only apply the that particular SKU. There is no correlation to any of the hundreds of other Blackheart SKU's produced here in our Bowling Green production facility.

I hope you all had a great holiday season. We're off to a quick start to the new year and I was able to assemble the pre-production EL Camino/convertible crossmember today and get it ready for its final test fitting in the vehicle. If all goes as planned with the test-fit, it will clear the way to put the final touches on the CAD model and drawings and get the part sent out for production. I'll be glad to have this one in the bag as it's straggled behind a little as a filler job between other major projects. Here's a peek at the assembled prototype...

Thanks for noticing the effort and resources we're putting towards improving the finished results and installation experience of these swaps...it does make the work more enjoyable on my end believe me.

I recieved confirmation yesterday that the new components with the correct geometry have been delivered to our distribution facility, so that's part of the battle won. The shipment will now need to be checked into inventory and then be boxed up into the completed finished good packaging...I'll keep you posted.

Hey Korndawg, count the number of holes in the frame mounting feet of your crossmember, if there are three in each side then you have the same mis-manufactured crossmember. Holley will exchange it for you.

Yeah, it's the same as the others...the final released design has 5 holes in each mounting foot, like the image in the instruction sheet shows. The remade crossmembers have been delivered to our facility in Mississippi and the logistics for getting them swapped out to customers such as yourself will get figured out this coming week.

The headers are washed in a steam tank before being boxed, so you won't find much on the way of oil/ grease on them. You can use a green Scotchbrite pad to remove the discoloration in the weld zone if you want, but I find it to be a waste of time if you are going to be putting some miles on the car...all stainless headers discolor with such usage.

I realize that they will discolor over time, but won't they dicolor more evenly if they start out more even colored?
