Im doing a LS swap into my 69 camaro and having issues with the clutch. I did the measurements discussed in other threads from Trick and decided that I did not need a shim. Here is what it is doing at this point.
Will go into gear for all forward gear, but the clutch is engaging right off the floor. It will not go into reverse with the car running. I can put it in reverse with it off and then restart, but it will again engage right at the floor.
I am thinking that I have 1 of 2 possible issues.
1 - I needed a shim. With a shim it will engage further off the floor
2 - I need to check my clutch pedal location and make sure I am getting the travel needed.
Please let me know your thoughts.

I think you are ont he right track, but I would check #2 first. Disconnect the pedal from the clutch rod and manually push it in to see if the rod travels further than the pedal can travel.

How big is your master cylinder? I had that issue when I was using a 5/8 bore wilwood master. It died recently at the track, and I swapped in a 7/8, which worked beautifully, but was hard as hell to push. Disengaged about 1/2" down from the beginning of the pedal travel. Swapped in a 3/4" master, much softer and disengages now about halfway through the pedal travel. The 5/8 master was just off the floor.
